Maintenance Manager OpportunityIn partnership with our client, we are hiring a Maintenance Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Rockland, Maine. This role leads the facility maintenance team, ensures production equipment uptime, implements preventive maintenance programs, and upholds safety and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates bring hands-on technical knowledge and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance teamManage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment (CNCs, welders, robotics, etc.)Ensure compliance with OSHA and local codes; oversee safety protocols and investigationsRead and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawingsCoordinate with contractors, facility services, and regulatory agenciesMaintain facility operating licenses and submit compliance documentationMonitor maintenance schedules, budgets, and performance metricsDrive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesQualifications:Associate’s degree or technical certification required, bachelor’s preferred5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking toolsWork Schedule, On-Call Requirements and Work Environment:Typical hours: 6:00/7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through FridayOn-call role: Must be available to respond to facility alarms during non-working hours and report onsite if neededShop floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and electrical systemsRequires occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and physical presence in operational areaBenefits:Health, dental, vision insurance401(k) with matchPaid time off and holidaysTraining and development opportunities
