Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Infusion Faulkner Per Diem

Experienced Advanced Practice Provider

The Infusion Center at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking an Experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Infusion Center team. The Infusion APP will work within our adult Infusion Center to serve as an infusion first responder, promote infusion service access and efficiency and may provide urgent care/symptom management in close collaboration with longitudinal medicine providers. The Infusion Center APP reports directly to the APP Manager.

The APP is a licensed provider. The APP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.

Essential Functions:

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.

Qualifications:

• Massachusetts Master's Degree Nursing or Massachusetts Master's Degree Physician Assistant required.
• Massachusetts Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Massachusetts Physician Assistant required.
• 2 years of licensed APP experience required, 5 years clinical APP experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Demonstrated experience as a responding clinician in an acute care setting preferred.
• Experience in medical or oncology focused infusion preferred.

Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition & interpret findings. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.

Pay Range: $95.84 - $83.59/Hourly
