Embedded Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of embedded applications and network configurations for current and future Axon products. Implement reliable, high-performance features in C/C++, Go, or Python. Write and maintain unit, integration, and system-level tests. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem solving. Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Firmware, and Cloud Engineering teams. Debug and resolve issues across embedded devices, networking layers, and supporting systems. Support sprint planning, retrospectives, release cycles, and other engineering process improvements. Learn and apply modern open source tools and frameworks relevant to embedded systems. Requirements

Require 1–3 years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in at least one of C/C++, Go, or Python. Professional experience working with Linux-based systems. Experience writing unit and integration tests. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Exposure to embedded devices and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, or VPN is a plus. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, mission-critical engineering environment. Benefits
