Warehouse Operator

Summary: Receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads production schedule, customer, work and shipping orders as well as requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
• Check in materials from suppliers
• Supply cutting department with material requests
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed and maintains inventory records
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing and shipping station(s)
• Ensures load and all items being shipped are properly strapped and secured
• Loads and unloads truck which includes the use of a pallet jack and / or lift truck
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments
• Prepares parcels for mailing
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1+ years related experience and/or training

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid driver's license, CDL Class B license, and a Forklift license will need to be obtained.
