Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU/Telemetry RN for a float pool position requiring AZ or compact RN license, Cerner experience, and PCU/Tele experience across multiple facilities.

Details

• Med/Surg/Tele and PCU unit, step-down in acuity from ICU
• Day shift 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between departments and four facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Works 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac drips and familiarity with TAVR and WATCHMAN/MitraClip procedures

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Active driver's license and US SSN required for consideration
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days of start
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, perform patient tests, and administer medications within RN scope of practice
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care
• Any scrub color permitted
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Returning travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
