Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Day Shift | Onsite | Every 3rd weekend required (3 weekend shifts per 4-week period)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in a Labor and Delivery unit, including magnesium sulfate patients and C-section cases performed on the unit
• Perform independent patient assessments and examinations in accordance with unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately across two EMR systems (Meditech and GE)
• Operate within AWHONN staffing ratios across a unit consisting of triage, labor, and OR beds
• Task to OB or nursery as needed without assuming a patient assignment in those areas
• Deliver care in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on customer service and patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active RN licensure
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Prior high-risk obstetric nursing experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage complex patient assignments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RNC (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing) certification preferred
• Experience charting in Meditech and/or GE EMR systems
• Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
