Title Personal Financial Counselor; 75th Ranger Regiment; Fort Benning, GA Grade 24 Job Responsibilities Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families. Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences. Develop and make available informational financial materials to service members and families. Coordinate, publicise and provide a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering topics across the military lifecycle, including arrival at first duty station, pre‑and post‑deployment, and personal and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34. Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars. Utilize virtual counselling or other electronic modes of communication such as web‑based secure online chat, or video‑based communications and secure video teleconference sponsored by the customer. Virtual PFC support may only be authorized by OSD FINRED Program office. Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol. Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations to which the counsellor is assigned. Participate in regular in‑services/training, quality improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (associate degree + 4 years of experience, or high school diploma + 6 years of experience may be considered). 3+ years of financial counselling experience. Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract. Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation. Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process. Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). Salary & Benefits Salary range: $58,440 – $93,500 (annual). May be eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life and other benefits.
