About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Hackensack Meridian Health provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Manahawkin, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Department/Unit: Emergency Department Schedule: Full-time, Night shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients. Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care. Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies. Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes. Identify ethical issues and enhance patient satisfaction. Maintain competencies and adhere to nursing standards. Requirements Education: BSN preferred and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience required 1 year or more of acute care nursing experience strongly preferred Emergency department experience preferred Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required ACLS preferred PALS preferred About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
