Attending Psychologist Behavioral Sleep Medicine

Position Description UCSF Health is currently recruiting for a sleep psychologist position in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The position will be filled in a rank and series commensurate with experience, with an anticipated start date of September 1, or thereafter. Responsibilities Providing behavioral sleep medicine services to patients within the UCSF Neuro/Psych Sleep Clinic, including cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), behavioral nightmare therapy treatments, management of circadian rhythm dysfunction, PAP non-adherence, and behavioral management of hypersomnia Participating in teaching, supervision and assessment of trainees. Collaborating with other department members on research projects and scholarly activities. Engaging in innovation and improvements in clinical, research, and educational programs. Participating in departmental, university, and public service. Qualifications PhD in psychology or equivalent, postdoctoral training in psychology or equivalent, and licensed to practice psychology in California at the time of appointment. Demonstrated specialization in sleep and/or health psychology. Demonstrated clinical, educational, and administrative skills with a strong commitment to an academic career as a clinician-educator. Competence in working with a range of communities and populations. Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon application submission. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 The minimum base salary range for this position is $106,000 - $319,800. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
