Lead CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist performs a variety of advanced imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and diagnostic quality. They set up equipment, position patients, and execute protocols including TAVR, Cardiac CTA, and lung/heart screenings. The role involves independent judgment, mentorship, and departmental oversight during absence of the Chief Tech. Responsibilities Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and assess contraindications. Administer contrast media safely, ensure accurate patient identification, and review images for quality. Respond to emergencies, monitor patient conditions, and maintain patient privacy and comfort. Perform advanced protocols, maintain equipment, and ensure radiation safety. Manage departmental workflow, supplies, and participate in process improvements. Train, mentor, and support fellow technologists; participate in hiring and competency assessments. Document procedures accurately, ensure regulatory compliance, and support departmental operations. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT-Radiography, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with at least 1 year in CT. Excellent communication, customer service, and ability to work independently under pressure. Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control protocols. Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
