Direct-hire CNC Lathe Setup Machinist

Pomona, CA | $30–$35/hour

Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

We're looking for someone who can independently set up CNC lathes, read prints and GD&T, troubleshoot tooling and offsets, and inspect their work. You'll make aerospace and commercial components, but previous aerospace industry experience is not required.

Must Have:

• Independent CNC lathe setup experience

• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T

• Experience with precision measurement and first-article inspection

• Ability to troubleshoot tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds

• Reliable commute to Pomona for the day shift

Nice to Have:

• Fanuc controls
• Live tooling
• Y-axis, sub-spindle, or bar feeder experience
• Arospace, medical
• AS9100, or ISO job-shop experience
• Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, or titanium

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
• Proven experience as a CNC lathe operator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine set-up procedures.
• Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming languages.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machining environment.
