SR. PIPELINE DESIGNER

Description Position Title: Senior Designer – Pipeline/Mapping Location: Houston, TX Gulf Companies has served the global energy industry since 1953 by supporting the complete project lifecycle and developing valued business partnerships to ensure the success of the project. Position Description The Senior Designer – Pipeline/Mapping will be responsible performing detail design activities within the Pipeline/Mapping discipline. Essential Functions Perform designs and layouts of Alignment Sheets, Property Plats and Permit Drawings utilizing CAD hardware and software. Review vendor drawings and other documents. Requirements Qualifications 5 or more years of experience in a drafting environment developing Pipeline/Mapping drafting deliverables 5 years of CAD experience AutoCAD 2016 and Civil 3D Microsoft Word and Excel Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards Working knowledge of survey data and aerial photography/imagery Working knowledge of public domain mapping from federal, state and local agencies such as USGS, USDA, NOAA and DOT MicroStation V8 a plus Blue Sky Skyline ARGIS data and map creation Microsoft Access Education High school diploma required. Associate's degree or certification from technical trade school preferred Competencies Problem solving Results oriented Customer focused Excellent oral and written communication skills Work Environment/Physical Demands Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
