Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Ophthalmology)
This is a 13-week contract position.
40 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday days with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends.
The Operating Room (OR) staff utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients of all ages in both scrub and circulating roles in the ophthalmology operating room.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing ophthalmologic procedures.
- Assume scrub and circulating roles within the operating room.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- RN License valid in New York State (Only).
- Two (2) years of experience in a level 1 trauma operating room preferred.
- Able to scrub and circulate during procedures.
- Experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics is required.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) is required.
- ACLS Certification is preferred.
