Job Overview Illinois Bone & Joint Institute is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant at our Wilmette location. Job Type: Full‑time. Compensation & Bonuses Competitive salary ($55,000 - $70,000 yearly) Therapist performance bonuses up to $2,625 quarterly $1,500 per year toward continuing education Three‑month mentoring period to ramp up to full caseload Professional Development Critical Reasoning Development Seminar for new grads Leadership Development Series for those seeking management or leadership positions Mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach opportunities Special Interest Groups Sports Medicine Foot & Ankle Group Manual Therapy Vestibular/Concussion Rehab Performing Arts Collaborative Programs OrthoSync: coordinated surgical and rehabilitative care for Medicare joint‑replacement patients OrthoHealth: metabolic approach to joint health and weight loss using rehab, health coaching, and nutrition counseling Responsibilities Carry out treatment plans established by the physical therapist, progressing patients toward functional goals as appropriate Provide exceptional care in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting Document patient status per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab Communicate progress and discharge information through written notes to physicians, co‑signed with supervising PT Communicate frequently with supervising PT regarding patient progression, discharge, and follow‑up Supervise rehabilitation technicians and administrative staff as needed Complete daily paperwork including treatment notes, progress notes, discharges, HEPs, etc., in a timely manner Stay current with billing policies and practice ethical billing Maintain an active state license by earning CEUs through external courses and IBJI-sponsored education Develop positive relationships with PTs, physicians, and case managers Participate in IBJI-sponsored programs such as mentoring, clinical education, special interest groups, and community outreach Requirements Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Hold a current Illinois license to practice Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Effective written and verbal communication skills Current CPR certification Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds and use proper body mechanics Ability to stand or sit for more than 30 minutes sequentially Ability to work on a computer for extended periods during the day Benefits Health, life, dental, vision, and short‑term and long‑term disability insurance; 401(k) with company match; profit sharing; wellness program; health savings accounts; flexible savings accounts; ID protection; accident, critical illness, and hospital benefits; paid holidays and paid time off.
