Responsibilities Lead a team of 20-30 engineers supporting present and future satellite programs by providing oversight, technical mentoring, career development, training, and performance reviews Work collaboratively with the programs your team supports and with functional leadership to manage staffing requirements and plan job assignments to sustain engineering capabilities and critical skills Represent the organization in internal and external stakeholder interactions by practicing Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors while facilitating the resolution of technical issues Oversee technical product management for program life cycles while implementing strategic initiatives for affordability and efficiency across the programs your team supports Maintain full command over program priorities and schedules by holding your team accountable to achieve key milestones and deliver value Support the acquisition of new business by generating Basis of Estimate inputs for proposals and evaluating your team’s ability to execute proposed scope Basic Qualifications At least 8 years of professional experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/combined education Detailed knowledge of aerospace structures hardware, conversant in other mechanical systems (including flight, ground, packaging, and mechanisms), and possess a strong background in organizational processes. Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams Demonstrated experience building key relationships across organizations to achieve strategic and/or tactical goals US Citizenship required to obtain/maintain a Secret / Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance Desired Skills Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership competencies, including: communicating with positive impact, developing enduring relationships, making effective decisions, delivering value, building organizational talent, and being accountable Fundamental understanding of flight hardware design, integration, and test principles Fundamental understanding of mechanical drafting standards and techniques Experience leading design efforts in support of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design activities Experience working with procurement and outside suppliers Previous production, operations, CAM, proposal, and/or IPT lead experience Willingness to mentor and develop junior engineers Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
