Our team partners closely with customers to deliver high-quality products, and the system software engineer will develop customized features and debug system issues side by side with customer engineers.MediaTek already powers several market-leading products, and we're inviting talented engineers to help us build even greater successes.Role and Responsibilities- Bring up new platform boards and independently verify major functions- Manage regular software releases and resolve multi-branch conflicts- Analyze, triage, and debug issues hands-on- Partner with customer engineers to resolve system issues and requests- Collaborate with the project management team to deliver software solutions to customersMinimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field- At least 3 years of C/C++ programming experience- At least 3 years of System-on-Chip (SoC) system software development experience- At least 3 years of experience with embedded operating systems (Linux, Android, Yocto, or RTOS)- Strong knowledge of common peripheral buses (I2C/SPI/UART/GPIO, USB, PCIe, SDIO, etc.)- Systematic problem-solving skills and effective technical communication- A proactive, positive attitude toward solving challenging and complex problemsMain Requirements and QualificationsPreferred Qualifications- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field- Proficiency in Python, Java, and shell scripting- Strong knowledge of SoC architecture and operating systems, including task scheduling, memory hierarchy, MMU, interrupt handling, and the boot sequence- Demonstrated system software development experience and hands-on skills, including system performance optimization, kernel/user-space driver design, BSP development, and system issue analysis- Experience with the modern PC industry, bootloaders (UEFI), Windows drivers, and Windows debugging- Ability to organize data points and consolidate them into clear conclusions and actions- Knowledge of and experience with AI and DLA, able to support customers in integrating AI models onto MediaTek SoCs- Experience and skill in customer interaction- Experience with WebCQ, JIRA, git, and cross-compilersSalary Range $ 179,000 to $ 244,000MediaTek is a global fabless semiconductor industry leader, providing solutions from the edge to the cloud and powering over 2 billion connected devices every year.
