Pre-Production Associate

SUMMARY: The Pre-Production Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service for all customers and completing warehouse tasks such as assembling and testing gaming terminals. The Associate will also test new products/software that we are developing and help maintain the warehouse environment to meet organizational standards. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and stage parts, components, hardware, and materials for scheduled production builds. Review production orders, work orders, build sheets, and bills of materials to determine required components. Pick and verify the correct parts and quantities for each production order. Perform preliminary assembly and pre-production work according to established work instructions. Prepare cabinets, components, hardware, wiring, and other materials for the production team. Install or prepare basic components prior to final production assembly as required. Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly. Inspect parts and components for damage, defects, incorrect items, or missing materials before releasing them to production. Verify part numbers, quantities, model information, and other required identification. Organize components into production kits or designated staging areas. Clearly identify and label materials for the correct production order. Ensure production kits are complete before releasing them to the production floor. Report shortages, damaged parts, incorrect components, and other discrepancies to leadership. Maintain accurate inventory and production transactions in applicable systems. Assist with serial-number and asset tracking when required. Move materials and partially assembled products safely between warehouse, pre-production, and production areas. Replenish production materials and components as needed to prevent production delays. Maintain appropriate inventory levels at production staging locations. Return unused materials to the correct inventory locations and maintain inventory accuracy. Keep pre-production workstations and staging areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow established quality-control procedures and work instructions. Follow all company safety requirements and use required personal protective equipment. Communicate material shortages, production concerns, quality issues, and potential delays promptly. Assist production, inventory, receiving, and other warehouse areas as operational needs require. Perform other related duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, assembly, kitting, inventory, or material-handling experience preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow work orders, bills of materials, build sheets, diagrams, and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to accurately identify and count parts and components. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Forklift or powered industrial truck experience/certification WORK ENVIRONMENT: The usual work environment is typical of a warehouse environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and perform repetitive warehouse and assembly activities. Ability to safely lift and move materials, components, and products within established company lifting guidelines. Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
