Human Resources Manager

Position Purpose Responsible for shaping an organization's workforce strategy and ensuring smooth human resources operations. Their primary purpose is to develop, implement, and oversee HR policies and programs that support employee engagement, compliance, and organizational growth. They also collaborate with leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities Employee Onboarding & Recruitment Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies ensuring optimum cost savings Facilitate all necessary recruitment of qualified candidates and coordination of interviews with respective manager Recommend, develop and/or conduct training Manage and administrate temporary workers Payroll & Performance Management Maintain performance management system for New York Maintain compensation system for New YorkAdministrate all aspects of the salary payroll HR Administration Assist with updating and or generating company policies and procedures as it relates to Human Resources and/or training Administrate employee benefits and pensions Assist plant management in the resolution of HR issues Co-ordinate social events for the New York facility This is an onsite role. Other Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the local site’s management systems, by reviewing issues reported by their employees, attending management reviews, ensuring adequate resources, and promoting continuous improvement Ensure all quality, food safety, safety, environmental as well as all Company policies and procedures are followed Ensure all quality, food safety, safety, and environmental issues are reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor Skills & Abilities Good organizational skills Coaching and mentoring skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive issues Technologically savvy Education Post-secondary degree or diploma in a Human Resources or Business discipline Experience 5 years progressive HR experience in a senior or leadership role. Working knowledge of applicable benefits, training programs, recruitment, employee relations initiatives, policy and procedural writing and privacy requirements.
