Whether you are transferring technology, ensuring robust commercial processes through process validation or supporting clinical trials, you will apply cutting edge design and process development capabilities to accelerate and bring the best-in-class medicines to patients around the world.What You Will AchieveIn this role within Manufacturing Sciences and Technology, you will:Contribute at the therapeutic area level and represent the group on multidisciplinary teams.Influence at the therapeutic area or discipline level and increasingly at the project team level.Apply technical and functional knowledge to design experiments, assist in project design, and independently complete work.Assist the compliance activities on safety and regulatory requirements that are expected and documented through the internal training program.Draft regulatory documentation for agency submissionExecute lab-based studies to improve productivity and/or robustness of licensed processes.Lead the mammalian team in creation and execution of complex experimental designs, and oversee interpretation of large data sets, including multifactorial experimental design.Lead transfers to commercial facilities for the production of clinical and commercial materialsHere Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years ofexperience; OR a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience; ORa PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8 yearsof experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years ofrelevant experience Strong background in designing and executing major experimental programs for biologics drug substance production in both laboratory and pilot-plant settingsDemonstrated expertise in bioprocessing techniques for development and optimization of biological productsSound understanding of statistical experimental design and analysisStrong working knowledge of the drug development process for advancing biological incumbentsOrganized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with dedicated engineers and scientistsExperience in drafting regulatory dossiers for agency submissionBonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)Experience in supporting scale-up and technology transfer to pilot or commercial scale facilitiesExtensive experience with protein and carbohydrate chemistry is strongly desired.Proficient in benchtop bioreactor operationsAbility to mentor and guide team members effectivelyDemonstrated leadership capabilities in a scientific settingExperience in process improvement projects to drive efficiency and innovationExperience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
