Project Coordinator, Horticulture

Under the direction of the Manager, Horticulture, the Project Coordinator, Horticulture holds responsibility for the successful execution of Seasonal Décor projects from start to finish. This position supports department leadership by aligning with the departmental vision and coordinating the creation, administration, compliance, and completion of horticultural projects within Yaamava’ Resort and Casino. The Project Coordinator, Horticulture, collaborates both internally and externally to ensure projects are executed timely and efficiently. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Executes the successful completion of Horticulture projects and coordinates internal resources and third parties or vendors for flawless execution of each Seasonal Décor project. Develops and maintains project performance databases that track overall progress and the accomplishment of specific milestones via project‑management software (e.g., SmartSheets and Excel) and implements process‑improvement projects. Tracks orders, floral deliveries, and special event needs to ensure all floral projects are on‑time, within scope, and within the assigned budget. Prepares renderings and project designs via design software (Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD) and reports key project metrics and dashboards as requested by department leadership. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. Education, Experience And Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and/or license/registration in Horticulture, Business Management or Event Management is preferred. Minimum two years’ experience working as a project‑management assistant or in a related capacity. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA) Maintain a strict level of confidentiality and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements. Be personable and professional, using caution and discretion in communication. Have excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience with event planning is preferred. Licenses, Certifications and Registrations May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission. Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe‑owned vehicles or patron vehicles; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions – Environment Primary work environment is a climate‑controlled office setting. Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences. May require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly, or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 40 pounds occasionally. Work is sedentary: involves sitting most of the time and operating a computer and office equipment. Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference, and over the telephone. Speech sufficient to be heard and understood in person and via videoconference or telephone. Visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting. Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment and operate a motor vehicle during travel to events, conferences, and properties. Endurance sufficient to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods. Employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
