Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a proficient and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist ready to join a dynamic team of imaging specialists dedicated to providing outstanding patient care. Employing cutting-edge ultrasound technology, you will carry out diagnostic tests, collaborating with a cohesive group of clinicians to ensure that patients receive timely, accurate, and reassuring imaging results.
Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing explanations of each step with kindness and clarity
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, reporting any issues promptly
- Accurately document procedures and manage patient records in the electronic medical system
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and standards
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is highly preferred
Certifications Required
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
- In-depth technical proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Adeptness in working independently as well as within a team framework
