As one of the largest human service providers in the region, our team members won't rest until every one of us is valued, respected, and accepted.Our Values: Believe in people, Joy, Inclusion, Curiosity, Impact, and CourageWhy join Easterseals Redwood as a Dietary Cook:Starting at $17.50/hour commensurate with experience and educationPTO and Extended Illness TimeHealth Insurance options401 K Retirement Plan with a company matchDental and Vision Insurance optionsDisability Insurance optionsEducation and Professional Development AssistanceFree daily lunch (Kentucky campus)Humana Employee Assistance Plan10 Paid holidaysGrowth OpportunitiesAbout being a Dietary Cook at Easterseals Redwood:Perform tasks in compliance with written guidelines and policies and procedures of Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).Participate in in-house training of direct care staff as requested by Dietary Manager.Collaborate with Dietary Manager in the planning, preparing and serving meals that meet USDA requirements.As delegated by the Dietary Manager, supervise dietary staff or volunteers in preparing, serving, and maintaining equipment that meets regulatory standards.Collaborate with Dietary Manager in purchase of food and maintenance of inventory.Prepare, label, and serve meals as scheduled for clients and staff. Meals (breakfast, lunch & snacks) are delivered to upper level for clients in Children's Services.Communicate with Children's Services staff and act on requests for special food items and to accommodate changes in client attendance or growth in programs.Work with dietary staff or volunteers in the preparation, service, & cleanup of kitchen area.Performs other duties as assigned.What Easterseals Redwood needs from our Dietary Cook:High school diploma or GED required.Preferred: Two years or more cooking and food service experience, preferable in school, daycare, or nonprofit.If you're someone that is passionate about making a difference and would like the opportunity to do just that every day, a career at Easterseals Redwood may be for you.
