Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse in the healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiac surgery procedures, with responsibilities that include surgical scrub duties, patient monitoring, and assisting in complex surgical cases. The position requires adaptability to work in both cardiac and general operating room settings based on case availability and staffing needs.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CNOR, EPIC experience (minimum 1 year)
• Education Requirements: Valid licensure in the applicable state; active Washington license application possible, with licensure in process.
• Years of Experience: 2 years recent cardiac scrub experience required; 1 year of EPIC charting system experience preferred.
• Location Requirements: Candidates outside a 60+ mile radius accepted; local candidates are not accepted.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High proficiency in cardiac, neuro, vascular, gynecological, orthopedic, and robotic surgery, with charge/lead experience preferred. Must have at least 2 years of recent cardiac scrub experience and strong OR experience in general, neuro, or vascular surgery.
• Additional Responsibilities: Support interdisciplinary teams, use of EPIC electronic charting system, and providing coverage for cardiac cases, including on-call duties with rotations for weekends and evenings.
• Submission Requirements: Submit with proof of vaccination, certifications, references from the past 2 years (including one supervisor), and documentation of licensure status.
