Finance Strategy and Cross-Organization Excellence Lead

Job title: Finance Strategy and Cross-Organization Excellence Lead Location: Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ Position Overview The Finance Strategy & Cross-Organization Excellence Lead is a senior strategic leadership role reporting to the Global Head of Finance, Specialty Care. The role partners with Commercial, M&A, Business Development, and Investor Relations to shape enterprise strategy, portfolio planning, and financial governance across multiple therapeutic franchises. Main Responsibilities Enterprise Strategy Leadership & Executive Advisory Serve as a strategic advisor to the Global Head of Finance, provide data‑driven insights, scenario analyses, and recommendations to inform executive decision‑making, and support the annual refresh of the Specialty Care long‑range strategic plan. Finance Strategy – Cross‑Franchise & Cross‑Organizational Support Define the financial architecture for new product and indication launches, partner with Commercial, M&A and Regulatory to ensure launch readiness, and support launch performance dashboards. Cross‑Organizational Strategy Coordination Act as connective tissue across SPC, M&A, Business Development, and Investor Relations to align strategies, coordinate resource allocation, and develop financial narratives for external communications. Portfolio Strategy & Pipeline Investment Planning Evaluate portfolio against strategic objectives, develop scenario analyses for pipeline configurations, and support decision‑making on asset acceleration or deprioritization. M&A & Commercial Strategy Integration Embed M&A and BD financial modeling into strategic planning, optimize capital allocation, and lead efficiency initiatives aiming for multi‑million‑dollar savings. Innovation & Digital Transformation Strategy Champion digital transformation of finance, develop a multi‑year innovation roadmap, and lead change management for adoption of analytics, AI/ML, and automation tools. Project Governance, Execution & Organizational Effectiveness Establish project governance frameworks, KPIs, and measurement systems, and deliver executive‑ready updates on progress, risks, and financial impact. Required Qualifications 15+ years of progressive finance, strategy, or program management experience. Senior strategic leadership with a track record of enterprise‑level initiatives and measurable business impact. Experience in product launch strategy, portfolio strategy, and capital allocation within complex, multi‑franchise environments. Proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, valuation, and competitive benchmarking. Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in biopharma commercial and launch strategy across therapeutic areas. Experience with M&A economics, integration modeling, and post‑deal integration planning. Proficiency in digital finance tools (e.g., Power BI, advanced analytics, AI forecasting). Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other transformation and project management certifications. Experience supporting investor relations and developing financial narratives for external audiences. Knowledge of competitive intelligence frameworks and strategic scenario planning.
