Inventory Control Specialist

Inventory SpecialistInventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring product inventory on a daily basis including shipping and receiving of customer products consistent with Company objectivesDuties and Responsibilities:Perform daily location and SKU audits of inventory and make adjustments as required.Investigate discrepancies and help to determine root cause.Ensure and comply with all procedures established to ensure product is being properly controlledCommunicate all problems and concerns regarding shipment scanning to managementIdentify damaged items staged in outbound baysPerform various operational checks to monitor adherence to company proceduresInspect the storage of products for quality assuranceAccurately document results of inventory audits upon completionCandidate will need to communicate with management and associates on a daily basisIdentify count of inventory in assigned areasMaintain log of quality controlOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:PC Proficient - Excel, Word, Access and Microsoft Outlook are usedDetail orientedMust have excellent mathematical skillsAbility to prioritize workloadAbility to work with a diverse group of peopleGood communication skillsAbility to meet strict deadlinesMaintain good housekeeping in work areaMaintain a safe work environmentConstant bending, stooping, lifting, walking and standingMust be able to lift 30 - 75 lbsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work in different locations as assignedAbility to be trained on forklifts, if requiredOther duties as assignedEducation and/or Experience:High school graduate, some college preferred but not required. One to two years experience working in a warehouse environment.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:Possess or have ability to become forklift certifiedValid Driver's License or equivalentLanguage Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets.
