Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner provides client medical and/or psychiatric treatment services in consultation with the supervising Medical Director/Psychiatrist or other care providers, ensuring client needs are met per treatment plan and agency policies. Responsibilities Learn and utilize organization systems, processes, and procedures. Accept coaching and feedback to improve performance. Contribute to positive team culture through actions, attitude, and communication. Deliver excellent customer service to clients and customers. Maintain high ethical standards, demonstrating emotional intelligence. Represent the organization internally and externally. Apply trauma‑informed practices and principles in all interactions. Assist in residential client admissions, evaluating medical and psychiatric history. Provide and document appropriate residential medical care, including compiling medical history, performing admission/annual physical examinations, managing acute and chronic illnesses, and ordering speech or occupational therapy. Ensure immunizations are up to date and provide vaccine orders when needed. Order and oversee laboratory studies as medically indicated. Refer to off‑campus healthcare as needed. Provide orders for restrictive interventions and self‑harm watches per TCFF policy. Collaborate with the Medical Director to coordinate MH/SA services with primary physical or psychiatric providers. Requirements Valid driver's license. Meet credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards for the program(s) led. Eligible for licensure and in good standing with North Carolina Boards of Nursing and Medicine. Maintain training and standards required to retain NC Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license. Maintain documentation of supervision per NC Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
