Tax Associate

WE ARE HIRING TAX PROFESSIONALS IN DARIEN, GA! Contractor/Part-time, Office Based, Location: Darien, GA. Minimum experience/Graduating Students/Internship is encouraged to apply for this position. To provide professional services, including but not limited to tax preparation. Primary Responsibilities Inform clients or employers about the tax preparation process Collect relevant financial records, including pay stubs and income statements Input data from financial records into tax return software or databases Use applicable federal, state, and local tax law to determine deductions and client tax liabilities Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts, based on experience and training Complete and file tax documents with appropriate agencies, such as the IRS, state, and local government entities Act as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as required Audit account details and reconcile bank statements to determine income and expenses Build customer relationships to promote and expand the business Keep clients abreast of the status of their tax return Additional Duties Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities (as applicable to level, training, and experience) Review previous tax returns and financial documents to identify missing or incomplete information or documentation Review all supplied financial information for accuracy Use the appropriate accounting software or system to prepare tax returns Calculate taxes owed or refunds due to clients; consult tax law publications for guidance on unusual situations Submit tax returns to senior accountant and or CPA for review Present approved returns to senior accountant and or CPA and/or clients Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses Perform other related duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
