Summary The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) supports residents, resident care associates, and the resident care department by assisting in the overall clinical/wellness operation and optimizing operational efficiency in partnership with the Resident Care Director (RCD). Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities Complete community‑assigned in‑service training (in person, written, or online). Monitor changes in resident needs and document/report them promptly to the RCD, RN, or designee. Prepare and post resident care staff work schedules (including RCAs, medication aides, nurses) at least two months in advance; manage attendance. Review time‑clock details daily and report to the RCD/ED; complete missed punch forms and submit to the Business Office Director. Order all clinical and incontinence supplies. Orient new resident care team members on electronic health record and medication administration record use. Monitor and review RCA training logs; assist with monthly training calendar and report compliance to RCD, BOD, and ED. Document scheduled and unscheduled services, including incidents and resident refusals, in the community tracking system. Facilitate programming such as therapeutic groups and individual interactions that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection. Qualifications Job Qualifications Job functions may vary by state. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Computer proficiency for documenting services. Fluent oral and written English communication. Organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Yardi, OnShift, or similar platforms. Education Completed a Certified Nursing Assistant course or equivalent training/experience. Experience Preferred: prior direct care experience. Preferred: experience caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. Preferred: experience with nursing/wellness operations for senior housing. Certificates/Licenses Current license/certification preferred and required by state regulation; provide documentation to the Resident Care Director or designee. Physical Demands Finger and hand dexterity for handling instruments. Visual and auditory acuity. Ability to lift at least 15 lbs. and carry objects. Capability to push/pull carts, walk, sit, and stand continuously. Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder. Use of good body mechanics and stamina for resident visits. Occasional assistance with residents weighing up to 150 lbs. Occasional push of occupied wheelchair up to 200 feet. Positive attitude towards service provision. Potential exposure to blood, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals (Category 1 or 2).
