Database Project Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with Database background and experience. The ideal candidate combines strong project management discipline with data‑centric integration programs with a strong database background to lead complex data initiatives. You will act as the central hub for database-related projects, translating business requirements into technical specifications, managing project lifecycles, and ensuring that data infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. You will work closely with engineering teams to guide database design and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with strong focus on database and infrastructure projects
• Proven experience managing platform integration, or large‑scale transformation programs
• Strong understanding of database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, cloud databases, etc.) and data integration concepts
• Demonstrated success managing complex, cross‑functional initiatives with multiple dependencies
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills
• Proactive risk identification and issue resolution
• Ability to bridge technical and business teams effectively
• Focus on execution excellence and operational stability

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Database Development Oversight: Oversee database-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks related to data integrity, system downtime, and technical dependencies.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Lead technical teams (developers, DBAs) and coordinate with non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
