A Route Driver - Home Daily is responsible for operation of a truck to collect fabrication material from slaughter facilities and on farm fallen animals.

Essential duties/responsibilities include handling outside elements, collecting and inspecting products at time of pick up for any foreign or hazardous material at customer location, maintaining an electronic DOT log, responsible for company vehicle; operating vehicle in accordance with company, federal, state and local regulations, conducting all safety checks and inspections of vehicle, operating vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures, observing all company safety rules, completing vehicle condition report on a daily basis, operating under all company safety standards, maintaining excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times, responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis, attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee, and all other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum qualifications include being 21 years of age, having a high school diploma or GED, possessing a valid Class B, being registered on and being able to handle outside elements.

Preferred qualifications include prior route experience within a customer oriented environment, ability to work well with internal staff and external customers, and ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Physical demands include required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, occasionally push, pull, up to 75 lbs.

Work environment includes job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle, customer locations, and plant environment.
