Security OfficerAn ESS substitute crossing guard assists students with safe passage at designated cross streets and other duties as assigned by the building principal.ResponsibilitiesPatrol and Monitoring: Patrol school buildings, grounds, and parking lots to detect and deter criminal activity, vandalism, and other policy violations.Access Control: Monitor and control access to the campus, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the premises.Incident Response: Respond efficiently to disturbances, security breaches, and emergencies, including escalating misconduct or inappropriate student behavior to a School District Employee.Reporting: Document all incidents and activities by completing detailed and accurate reports in accordance with department procedures.Visitor Assistance: Provide directions to visitors and ensure they are aware of and follow campus security regulations.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPA Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification – Act 24PA State Police Criminal History Clearance – Act 34Federal Criminal History Clearance – Act 114Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training - Act 126Child Abuse Clearance – Act 151Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release – Act 168Tuberculosis Test/PhysicalAbout ESSAs leaders in the education staffing space since 2000, ESS specializes in placing qualified staff in daily, long-term, and permanent K-12 school district positions including substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school support staff.
