Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Medical Acute Care Unit serving a general medical patient population
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5/6 on night shift, collaborating with Patient Care Technicians available 24 hours per day
• Monitor patients on telemetry using Philips monitors; strip interpretation is handled by dedicated central station monitor technicians
• Work every other weekend and fulfill 3 of 6 required holidays throughout the contract period
• Float to other units as directed, with travel clinicians floating first on a rotation basis
• Participate in a 3-day unit-specific orientation prior to independent assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• General medical/surgical nursing experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must be able to comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a general medical/surgical travel or contract nursing role
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting
