We are a growing mobile wound care practice providing specialized wound assessment, treatment, and management services directly to patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers, and home settings. Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant to support our wound care providers in delivering exceptional patient care in a mobile setting. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and willing to travel throughout the service area.

Responsibilities

• Assist wound care providers during patient visits and procedures.
• Prepare treatment supplies and maintain inventory of wound care materials.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and wound measurements.
• Capture clinical photographs and assist with wound documentation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
• Coordinate patient scheduling and communicate with facility staff and caregivers.
• Ensure proper infection control and safety procedures are followed.
• Assist with obtaining authorizations, referrals, and medical records as needed.
• Maintain company vehicle supplies and equipment organization.
• Support follow-up care coordination and patient education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical medical assistant experience preferred.
• Wound care, dermatology, geriatrics, home health, or skilled nursing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and mobile technology.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and transport medical equipment and supplies.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to travel daily between patient locations.
• Ability to work in various healthcare and residential environments.
