Senior Agentic Software Engineer

Role Overview A Senior Agentic Software Engineer will design and scale production-grade autonomous systems, creating workflows that leverage orchestration tools, frontier AI models, and advanced reasoning frameworks. The role involves implementing tool‑use patterns, building observability and governance pipelines, and contributing to a startup’s fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Responsibilities Architect and scale production‑grade agentic workflows and autonomous systems, leveraging orchestration tools such as CrewAI, OpenAI frontier models, and LangChain. Implement advanced reasoning, tool‑use frameworks, and execution patterns, including ReAct, function calling, and vector database integrations, for complex automation. Design comprehensive observability pipelines and governance frameworks to ensure autonomous decisions are traceable, monitored, and compliant with regulated sector standards. Demonstrate proven startup DNA—thriving in fast‑paced environments, comfortably wearing multiple hats, adapting to shifting priorities, and executing cross‑functionally. Location Must currently reside in the Bay Area or the Denver area and be open to a hybrid role 2–3 times per week. Compensation The salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $275,000.
