2nd Shift Wets Production Supervisor

Avantor seeks a Production Supervisor for second shift wet manufacturing operations in Paris, Kentucky. The role involves overseeing daily manufacturing activities, supervising personnel, ensuring cGMP compliance, and optimizing production efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise manufacturing employees and coordinate departmental activities across production, maintenance, and shipping
- Plan, schedule, and staff operations to fulfill sales orders and meet inventory requirements while maintaining cGMP compliance
- Monitor production efficiency, output, and safety through data collection and process improvements
- Train, evaluate, and develop employee performance; investigate non-conformities using root cause analysis
- Maintain documentation including SOPs, batch records, and work instructions; ensure safety policies are implemented
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in technical field (life science, chemistry, engineering) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years progressive manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibility
- Life science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or chemical production background
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and oral/written communication skills
- Computer literacy for scheduling, data management, and procedure documentation
- cGMP manufacturing experience preferred; MRP systems knowledge preferred
