Job Description
This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary facility by performing a full range of janitorial and sanitation duties across restrooms, production areas, offices, and common spaces. You will support a healthy work environment by ensuring all areas remain orderly, hygienic, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, production floors, breakrooms, offices, and other common areas using methods such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and general housekeeping.
• Disinfect frequent touchpoints, including door handles, vending machines, time clocks, and other high-contact surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Collect and remove trash and recyclables from designated areas and dispose of them safely and efficiently.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and restock or request replenishment as needed.
• Perform routine inspections of different areas in the facility to ensure cleanliness standards are met and identify any issues requiring attention.
• Follow established sanitation procedures and safety guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Keep janitorial closets, carts, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of industrial cleaning experience.
• Hands-on custodial and janitorial experience in a production or industrial environment.
• Strong sanitation skills, including the ability to follow cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
• Experience with cleaning and trash removal across restrooms, production areas, and common spaces.
• Ability to perform housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
• Attention to detail and consistency in maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to perform physically active work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required for cleaning tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Familiarity with safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and sanitation products.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks.
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability in maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Work Environment
This position operates on a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a consistent daytime work routine. You will work in an industrial or production facility that includes restrooms, production floors, breakrooms, offices, and other common areas that require regular cleaning and sanitation. The role involves frequent movement, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting, as well as regular use of cleaning equipment and supplies. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and adherence to sanitation standards while working both independently and alongside other facility staff.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
