A bit about us: Our Client, a Commercial contractor of interior systems, is seeking an Assistant Controller Why join us? This is a great opportunity for someone to serve as the true "right hand" to the Corporate Controller and serve as a trusted partner as the Controller becomes increasingly more involved in executive-level initiatives, strategic planning, and future acquisition activities. Compensation: $120-$140K + 10% annual bonus Benefits include: 2 Florida Blue Medical Plans to choose from that include HSA plan and 100% covered preventative care Dental Insurance that covers 100% of preventative care Vision insurance AD&D + Short Term Life Insurance Competitive PTO (varies by location and position and tenure) + 8 company-paid holidays 401K plan Job Details While this position will initially operate as a Senior Individual Contributor, the expectations is that this candidate will ultimately assume supervisory responsibilities and oversee accounting staff as the company continues to grow Requirements for the role: Strong construction accounting experience required Prior experience managing, supervising, or leading accounting staff is required, even though the role will not initially have direct reports. Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, WIP schedules, overbillings/underbillings, and construction ERP systems. Candidates should demonstrate leadership potential, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating across departments.
