Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager. In this role, the successful candidate The Project Manager will work with the assigned Patient Access Center (PAC) operations leader along with other key stakeholders across PAC to achieve desired results. This individual is responsible for collaborating with the entire PAC team to assist with various projects and initiatives that drive performance improvement with the end goal of improving key performance indicators. Additionally, this role will assist with growth/recruiting opportunities, specifically for the Las Vegas Patient Access Center. This role will also assist in supporting operational strategies, initiatives, and business processes throughout PAC. Job Responsibilities Assist PAC Operations Leadership team with implementation of changes to improve operations by performing project management, developing plans, documenting processes, drafting implementation strategies, and testing procedures. Responsible for developing and amending communication and project plans as needed throughout the project, adapting the approach, timelines and deliverables as needed based on foreseen and unforeseen events to ensure project success. Conduct research focused on trends and best practices in healthcare, through peer group facilities, online forums, vendors, periodicals and initiatives within the Medical Center. Develop positive working relationships with practice based FGP managers and other key personnel affiliated with departments/FGPs. Develop and foster communication to facilitate problem‑solving, decision‑making and collaborative efforts. Lead workgroups, track outcomes/goals, and communicate with leadership about process improvement, change management, and project management. Attend and lead various functional area workgroups. Perform other duties as assigned. Serve as NYU Langone Health Faculty Group Practice Brand Ambassador by upholding the NYULH Mission, vision and values and promoting excellence in the patient experience, during every encounter. Drive consistency in every patient and colleague encounter by embodying the core principles of our FGP Service Strategy CARES (Connect, Align, Respond, Ensure, and Sign‑Off). Greet patients warmly and professionally, stating name and role, and clearly communicate each step of the care/interaction as appropriate. Work collaboratively with colleagues and site leadership to ensure a positive experience and timely resolution for all patient interactions and inquiries, whether in person, by phone or via electronic messaging. Proactively anticipate patient needs, and participate in service recovery by applying the LEARN model (Listen, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Notify), and escalates to leadership as appropriate. Share ideas or any observed areas of opportunity, to improve patient experience and patient access, with appropriate leadership. (i.e. ways to optimize provider schedules, how to minimize delays, increase employee engagement, etc.) Partner with team members from all areas to support collaboration and promote a positive patient experience. Minimum Qualifications To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of office management, special projects experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Database. Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3‑5 years of experience with operations support in project management, recruiting, timekeeping, leading and participating in improvement programs with problem‑solving, time‑management, and prioritization skills, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. May require 5‑10% travel. Experience working within an access/contact center, hospital, clinic, or medical office scheduling environment is highly preferred.
