Job Summary:
The Oakland-based healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team for a night shift assignment. The position involves providing high-quality patient care to adults with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing multi-system patients, utilizing advanced skills, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIH Stroke Scale certification, at least 3 years of ICU RN experience, 6 months of travel experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, LTAC experience, trauma level I or II experience
• Float: May float to other units within the scope of practice; floating to additional campuses such as Ashby or Herrick may be required, with notice provided in most cases; shuttle service available if floating is requested
• Additional Information:
  The role involves managing critically ill adult patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, kidney failure, respiratory failure, stroke, and cardiogenic shock. The nurse will perform procedures like arterial line management, chest tube insertion, ventilator management, and more. Strong interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. Orientation includes 48 hours of training prior to start date.
