At Everglade Works, were scaling fast, and we need someone who's ready to step into the drivers seat of day-to-day HR operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who wants to understand the rea workings of people management in a growing IT company. You'll work side-by-side (virtually) with leadership to help build and maintain a workplace that runs smoothly, keeps people engaged, and ensures the human side of the business is just as sharp as the tech. What You'll Be Doing Manage onboarding from A to Z paperwork, tools, welcome calls, the works Coordinate with team leads to support new hires during their first weeks Track employee datacontract dates, birthdays, leave balances, updates Be the first point of contact for HR-related questions from our remote team Help draft internal communicationspolicies, process guides, updates Keep our digital HR files organized and audit-ready Support offboarding: making sure exits are smooth, respectful, and well-documented Assist with hiring tasks (scheduling interviews, collecting feedback, etc.) Spot gaps in our HR processes and work with us to make them better You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have some background in HR (internship, assistant role, or a degree/cert is great we are not rigid) Understand that HR isn't just about policies its about people Can juggle tasks without needing someone to check in on you every hour Know your way around Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar) Communicate clearly and professionallywhether by email, Slack, or on a Zoom call Are detail-oriented without being roboticyes, typos matter, but so does tone Know how to handle sensitive info with care and discretion Are curious, humble, and eager to learn how HR really works in the tech world What You'll Get in Return A real shot to grow into a senior HR leader no waiting years to get noticed Direct access to the leadership team you'll actually be heard Remote-first flexibility work from where you're most productive Paid time off (yes, even in your first year) Health, dental, and vision benefits (for U.S. employees) A team that genuinely respects the value of HR this isn't just a checkbox role How to Apply If you're looking for a corporate HR job where you push paper all day this isn't it.
