Position Overview
This role requires one day per week in our Charlotte office, specifically on Tuesdays. Applicants should be based in the Charlotte, NC area.
Key Responsibilities- Address technical requests from end users of products and systems.
- Swiftly analyze data to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Install and configure SQL database setups.
- Implement database schemas, tables, views, and data objects in line with best practices and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with Enterprise Query Standards.
- Collaborate with application support and development teams to implement data changes according to change management policies.
- Work with the application support team on quarterly releases.
- Review and optimize queries for scalability, availability, and efficiency.
- Manage the migration of changes through development life cycle stages.
- Evaluate new SQL Server features and changes before version upgrades.
- Optimize SQL code using execution plans and system DMVs.
- Maintain database system diagrams and operational documentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in MS SQL Server administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, and Always ON Availability Groups.
- Experience with SQL query evaluation using execution plans and DMVs.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data warehousing and WhereScape Red is an advantage.
