Cook Position Available The Royal Tern is seeking a skilled cook to join our kitchen team and help us deliver the exceptional dining experience our guests expect. Who You Are: You're an organized, creative culinarian who thrives in a team environment. You understand that great food requires both technical skill and meticulous attention to detail. You take pride in maintaining a clean, efficient workspace while preparing beautifully presented dishes that delight our customers. What You'll Do: Execute various cooking techniques to prepare menu items to our exacting standards Set up and maintain organized workstations throughout service Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly prepared and maintained Verify ingredient quality and freshness Present dishes with care and attention to visual appeal Manage ingredient storage, stock levels, and ordering needs Keep all kitchen areas sanitized and systematically organized Work collaboratively with our culinary team to ensure smooth service What You Bring: Proven cooking experience in a professional kitchen Proficiency with commercial kitchen equipment and tools Command of multiple cooking techniques and methods Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols Excellent multitasking abilities and quick decision-making skills Clear communication and teamwork orientation High school diploma required; culinary school graduates preferred NESTLED IN THE HEART OF JOHNS ISLAND, THE ROYAL TERN IS A FAMILY RESTAURANT AND NEIGHBORHOOD EATERY.
