Specialty Lab Assistant (Histology) - Rotating Shift- PRN

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for histology support in Lakewood, Colorado on a casual per diem basis with rotating shifts. The role involves specimen handling, preparation, data entry, equipment maintenance, and adherence to laboratory protocols in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
- Perform specimen scanning, data entry, and record documentation
- Ensure laboratory equipment functions properly and perform minor maintenance
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and replenish bench supplies
- Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow Standard Operating Procedures
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- High attention to detail with multitasking capability
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
Compensation: $18.88–$22.22 per hour
