Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and GE/Siemens proficiency for a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Magnet-designated, Primary Stroke Center with 933 beds
• MRI unit with 6 scanners (5 currently operating)
• Weekly census of 250-300 patients across outpatient, inpatient, and ED settings
• Patient types include implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, and whole body; cardiac experience preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 12hr day shift schedule, 36 hours per week, working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation maximum every 3rd weekend
• No floating required - MRI only
• Backup on-call responsibility with 30 minute response time on a rotating weekly basis, occurring approximately once every 8 weeks with a compensatory weekday off

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• Active license required if applicable
• Minimum 3-5 years of MRI experience
• Minimum 12 months of core MRI experience with most recent experience within the last year
• Experience with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, and whole body patient types required
• GE and Siemens equipment experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra required
• McKesson PACS experience required
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• At least one professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required

• Support on unit includes Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants; travelers are never alone
• 3 days of orientation provided
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Breast and Cardiac MRI experience is a plus
• Second interview conducted by the manager
• No radius rules; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
