Job Details Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Tele / Telemetry Nurse / Stepdown RN Location: Binghamton, NY Contract Length: 18 weeks Start Date: 08/24/2026 Shift: 12-hour nights Shifts Per Week: 3 Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Setting: Med/Surg Tele / Stepdown / Acute Care Hospital Job Requirements Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact licensure At least 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required Acute care hospital experience preferred BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire NIH Stroke Certification preferred Ability to interpret telemetry strips and pass a dysrhythmia exam at orientation Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced stepdown and telemetry environment Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes Deliver patient and family education with compassion, clarity, and professionalism Care for patients with cardiac, oncology, medical-surgical, and stepdown needs Manage chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, temporary pacing, and advanced respiratory support as needed Promote patient safety, privacy, and quality improvement throughout every shift Apply now for this Travel Nurse job in Binghamton, NY and take the next step in your nursing career.
