Job Description:

• Responsible for independently coordinating blood and tissue banking protocols to ensure proper collection and handling of samples, i.e. bone marrow, blood, tissue, skin, check swabs, pheresis products, etc.
• Establishes effective policies and procedures for obtaining, processing and handling all clinical trial-driven correlative blood and tissue samples. Collaborates with internal and external laboratories processing clinical trial samples to ensure compliance with each individual trial.
• Independently arranges courier service, as needed for transport of clinical trial blood and tissue samples. Schedules urgent/emergent clinical trial-related laboratory tests, visits, procedures and treatment.
• Resolves any schedule conflicts and ensures timely patient tracking. On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on staff and patients, as well as the quality of service within the department.
• Coordinates research phlebotomy services to ensure proper collection, processing and documentation of sample draws.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma
• NHA Medical Assistant Certificate
• At least 1 year of experience
• Ability to draw blood, take vitals, and triage patients
• Flu vaccinated & covid vaccination a must
• Communication Skills in a Medical Setting
• Knowledge of current HIPAA Rules and Regulations
