NICU/Special Care Nursery RN *ASAP START**Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate* **Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.** 3x12 1900-0700Traveler must have a record of multiple successfully completed assignments and no cancellations in their work historyBLS, NRP, & STABLE requiredNICU II experience required CPAP experience required2 years of experience requiredMust have completed at least 1 travel assignmentEvery other weekend requiredEvery other holiday requiredFloat to Postpartum and Labor and Delivery for neonatal care requiredSpecial Care Nursery is a Level II unit that requires consistent monitoring and maintaining the stability of cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic and thermal functions, either independently or in conjunction with the physician; assist with specialized procedures, such as lumbar puncture, endotracheal resuscitation of newborns that are 32 weeks or greater. Initiate, modify or stop treatment when appropriate according to established protocols or orders.Must be proficient in:Respiratory Support via High Flow O2, CPAP, Bubble CPAP & Mechanical VentilationManagement of Central LinesPeripheral IV InsertionsLab DrawsAdministration of IV antibioticsIncreased knowledge of apnea and bradycardia related to the pre-term infantStabilization of newborns less than 32 weeks and preparation for transport to a Level III facilityThermoregulation in the pre-mature infant and full-term infant related to passive coolingProficient in Neonatal resuscitation; must have NRP certification and S.T.A.B.L.E. certification.Ventilation Systems used for High-Flow O2, CPAP and Mechanical VentilationPoint of Care Blood Glucose MeasurementBD Alaris Smart Pumps
