Postdoctoral Research Associate

Postdoctoral Research Associate Temporary postdoctoral research appointment supporting electric machine research, with emphasis on aerospace electric motor design, analysis, system integration, and experimental validation. Perform electromagnetic design, analysis, and optimization studies for advanced electric machines. Support electric motor testing, including test setup, data collection, and preparation of test summaries with the research team. Requires Master's degree in a related field or equivalent research experience (preferably in an academic setting); must possess strong communication and analytical skills; thorough knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures; ability to implement research projects; must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary. Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with research focused on advanced electric machines. Electromagnetic finite-element analysis and electric motor design and optimization. Experience with ANSYSMaxwell, Motor-CAD, ANSYSFluent/Workbench, MATLAB, and Simulink. Experience with electric motor prototype integration, dynamometer/DAQ testing, and experimental validation. Strong technical problem-solving, teamwork, and coordination with research and external partners.
