General Manager

Job Summary The General Manager contributes to the success of Applebee's through the direction and control of restaurant operations to ensure a positive guest experience and company profitability. The General Manager’s responsibility is to direct the operation of the restaurant, attain sales and profit objectives, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation by directing and supervising managers and team members. Requirements Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. ServeSafe Certification preferred (training may be provided) Education and Experience Minimum 2+ years of foodservice management experience; QSR or casual dining GM experience preferred High School Diploma or GED required. An associate or a bachelor’s degree is preferred. ServeSafe Certification preferred (training may be provided) Stand for extended periods (up to an entire shift) Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull regularly for operations, stocking, and equipment use Use ladders, occasionally for maintenance checks Work in varying environments including hot kitchen areas and walk‑in coolers/freezers Operate POS systems, kitchen equipment, computers, and other standard devices Communicate clearly with employees, guests, vendors, and leadership teams Competitive compensation and eligibility for a performance bonus – we aim to recognize your dedication and hard work.
