Benefitfocus is searching for a Project Manager to join our team. This is a remote position that may require work at a customer site from time to time. The project manager would coordinate all aspects of a product or service offering for an internal or external customer, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. This includes extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams. The project manager is typically focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products to improvement of customer satisfaction through the use of technology. Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests. The project manager oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment. Responsibilities: Manages one or more projects of large scope and/or high complexity Manages a small program, providing guidance to project teamsMay be assigned to high criticality projects Has regular internal and/or external stakeholder interaction Recommends changes to policies that affect the business unit or the organization, and identifies areas of improvements that could be made to procedures, policies or processes Effectively speaks in front of large teams and communicates to senior and executive audiences in oral and written form Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.
